Damson Porter – 4.8% ABV – 500ml

Damson Porter is a style of beer that was developed in London, England in the early eighteenth century. It was well-hopped and dark in appearance owing to the use of brown malt.

this particular porter is a classic plum porter made with locally sourced Damson plums and brewed in the heart of Derbyshire. The main characteristic is its distinctive rich flavour; unlike other plums it is both high in sugars and highly astringent. This smokey and subtle fruity taste makes for a great beer.

Our damsons are locally picked by the team at Ashover and volunteers in the area. We aim to use the freshest produce available. Janine our head brewer prides herself on foraging for locally produced products. The natural ingredients intensifies the taste, plus you know that you’re getting the real deal.
