Damson Porter – 4.8% ABV – 500ml
Porter is a style of beer that was developed in London, England in the early eighteenth century. It was well-hopped and dark in appearance owing to the use of brown malt.
This paticular porter is a classic plum porter made with locally sourced Damson plums and brewed in the heart of Derbyshire. The main characteristic of the damson is its distinctive rich flavour; unlike other plums it is both high in sugars and highly astringent. This smokey and subtle fruity taste makes for a great beer.
Our damsons are locally picked by the team at Ashover and volunteers in the area. We aim to use the freshest produce available.
